Global Exposure Setting

What is the difference between the global exposure setting options?

Exposure is essential for managing risk and diversifying player selections, ensuring that the impact of a player's performance—whether positive or negative—is balanced by their overall participation rate in multiple lineups. By setting maximum exposure limits, users can prevent over-reliance on any single player, thereby optimizing their chances of success across various contests and matchups. This tool is particularly valuable in tournaments and large-field contests where variance and player performance unpredictability can significantly impact outcomes.

Total Lineups Requested Method:
This method involves the optimizer creating a specified number of fantasy sports lineups while complying with a maximum exposure limit for any given player. The player is included in lineup generation until their appearances meet the predefined exposure limit. After reaching this cap, the player is excluded from any further lineup considerations, ensuring that the limit is not exceeded.

After Each Lineup Method:
In this optimization technique, the player’s participation in the lineups is strictly alternated. This method ensures that for every lineup where the player is included, they are excluded from the next, continuing this pattern throughout the lineup creation process. The goal is to distribute the player's appearances evenly across the total number of lineups generated, adhering to the set exposure constraints.
