GPP and Cash ROI

What is GPP and Cash ROI?

GPP (Guaranteed Prize Pool) and Cash ROI are metrics that calculate the return on investment for lineups based on their performance in different contest types. These scores help you identify which lineups are most profitable in GPPs and Cash games by simulating contests and analyzing the results.

How It Works:

1. Contest Simulation:

• For each simulation, a field and contest are generated, matched with a prize structure that reflects the settings defined by the user.

2. Profit Calculation:

• The simulation runs, and the win/loss outcomes for each lineup are tallied across all simulations. The return on investment is calculated for each lineup based on how well it performed in the simulated contest.

3. Score Aggregation:

• The returns are aggregated to create a score that represents the lineup’s profitability in either GPP or Cash games. This score is then displayed as GPP ROI or Cash ROI.

Why It Matters:

GPP ROI: Indicates the lineup’s profitability in high-risk, high-reward GPP contests, where the goal is to maximize upside and aim for top placements.

Cash ROI: Indicates the lineup’s profitability in Cash games, where consistency and minimizing risk are key to earning a steady return.

By analyzing GPP and Cash ROI, you can identify the lineups that are most likely to generate the highest profits in their respective contest types, helping you optimize your strategy for both GPPs and Cash games.
